Brecon Beacons

Wales is somewhere we’ve only visited a handful of times, which is strange because we live pretty close. I’ve never been the the Brecon Beacons though, but the national park is as beautiful as you’d imagine.

We stayed in an old dairy/milk house, which had been beautifully converted, in Talgarth, which is ideally situated for visiting many of the beauty spots in the Breacon Beacons. The town is small and quaint, very pretty.

The first full day we were here we climbed Pen-Y-Fan, we were so lucky to have a clear climb and beautiful views at the top.

In the evening we visited the Wye Valley Canoes Cafe, I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Beautifully situated, calming interior and stunning food. I can’t wait for another excuse to return.
Today we did an 8 mile walk from Talgarth, it was rainy today but still really beautiful.

We were lucky enough to see this beautiful waterfall.

Wales really is a special place, with wonderful outside space, there’s so many adventures to have and so many places to explore.

Have you been to Wales, let me know your recommendations in the comments, we’d love to return 😊
