City vs Country

I live in a small town in the middle of the UK, so I feel incredibly lucky to have beautiful countryside right on my doorstep and exciting city breaks only a short train ride away.

The Ace Hotel Shoreditch

The majority of our short breaks are in the countryside, as the peaceful surroundings instantly make me relax. Exactly what you want when you’re feeling a bit frazzled.

That’s not to say I don’t love a city break. London especially really inspires me, the vast amount of exceptional and different food always appeals. I also feel lucky to have such a great collection of culture and museums, I will always try and fit in one during a city break. Next on the bucket list will be The Design Museum when it re-opens this month.

Tyneham, Dorset

When you live in the middle of the country, completely landlocked, there’s nothing better for the soul than a trip to the coast. We recently visited Tyneham, with its fascinating story and stunning beaches it’s well worth a visit.

When you’re planning a break away do you usually favour a city break or countryside? Any recommendations for cities to explore or coastline to walk? Comment below 😊
